Uniview Launches ColorHunter Network Camera

Most crimes happen at night because of the ultra-low light which provides more convenient conditions for criminals. More effective information about vehicles and suspects, such as: plate number, color and brand of a vehicle; facial features, hair color, height and clothing color of a suspect may be usefully. Although security camera systems have become more and more popular in cities in recent years, there are still many security requirements that cannot be met, such as high-resolution night vision and colorful recording.

As a video surveillance manufacturer, UNV has been developing products based on video surveillance technology. Now, ColorHunter technology is available. Coupled with a supplemental light for extremely dark scenarios, ColorHunter cameras guarantee video with colorful details when you need them.

24/7 colorful monitoring powered by technology innovations

The powerful ability of UNV ColorHunter camera to capture colorful details in the ultra-low light comes from three major breakthroughs in hardware: Super large aperture, progressive BSI Sensor and friendly lighting LEDs.

Super large aperture

The ColorHunter lens is equipped with a F1.0 super large aperture, which lets more light in, thus greatly improving the brightness of the image. According to laboratory data, F1.0 super large aperture collects 4 times amount of light compare with F2.0 aperture.

Progressive BSI Sensor

ColorHunter camera equipped with the latest BSI sensor, which can receive the light from the lens as much as possible, it greatly improves the sensitivity.

Friendly lighting LEDs

Warm light LEDs guarantee lower light pollution and maintain the true color in the low-light environment. In addition, the light from LEDs in the darkness can also effectively prevent criminals.

Reduce false alarm in the darkness

In the security monitoring, most users only need to pay attention to the real events: the alarms triggered by people and vehicles. UNV smart intrusion prevention (SIP) can filter false alarms and allows human and vehicle classification to focus only on interest target.

The accuracy of SIP is also based on the image. The image at night is too dark to judge the rule. ColorHunter camera can capture color images even in the ultra-dark environment, which greatly improves the accuracy of SIP in dark environment. Users thus don’t have to worry about night guard security issues in some places

Application scenarios

Overall, UNV ColorHunter camera can use in the ultra-low light environment to deliver colorful images. Combine with the smart intrusion prevention, it can serve as a guard even in the night. ColorHunter camera can accommodate a wide range of application scenarios, such as residential, parking lots, parks and alley.
